Katie is the daughter of Jim and Barb Sluyter of Herman, Neb. She graduated in 2004 from Tekamah-Herman High School and in 2008 from Fort Hays State University. She is employed at the First National Bank of Hugoton, Kan.
The couple is planning an August 31, 2008 wedding in Blair, Neb.
