Lamar High School Athletic Director Greg Eddy has released the following information for 2008 fall sports practices for Lamar High School.

Practices will start on Monday, August 11 (except for golf which starts on Monday, August 4).

Athletes need to pick up the athletic paperwork at the high school office weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

The paperwork will also be available at registration at the Lamar Community Building on August 5 and 6 and at the parent/athlete meeting on August 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons area.

Athletes need to have the paperwork turned into the office before they will be allowed to practice on August 11 except for golf.

Parent/athlete meeting on Thursday, August 7 in the Lamar High School commons area at 6:30 p.m.

Boys golf — Monday, August 4 at Lamar Spreading Antlers Golf Course at 8:00 a.m.

Boys soccer — Monday, August 11 behind the high school on the softball field from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Girls and boys cross country — Monday, August 11 at Savage Stadium starting at 7:00 a.m. and again at 6:00 p.m.

Football — Monday, August 11 behind the high school at 7:00 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.

Girls volleyball — Monday, August 11 at the Lamar Community Building from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Girls softball — Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12 at 8:00 a.m. and against at 8:00 p.m. on the Yellow Field at the Lamar Softball Complex. Starting on Wednesday, August 13, practices will start at 4:00 p.m.
