The group of 150 researchers from around the globe will hold a series of meetings this week including the one held for the public on Tuesday evening.

Local residents fill their plates Thursday night during the spaghetti dinner fund raiser for the four-plex ball field complex. The event, held at the community building, raised approximately $700. The dinner was organized by Jodi Simmons and Linda Hawkins. About 15 volunteers from the Retail Trades Committee of the Lamar Chamber Commerce helped serve the 125 people in attendance.
